Moving Forward: A Program for People Newly Diagnosed with MS

National MS Society's Hartford Office

Join Connecticut Chapter staff for a light lunch and a discussion on multiple sclerosis including the disease, symptoms, treatments and research as well as tips on adjusting to your MS diagnosis. Learn more about the disease, how to cope, and what to do now to plan for the future. Friends and family are also invited. The program is free, and lunch is included.

Speakers:

Gretchen Michaelson, APRN and Clinical Coordinator at the MS Clinic at the Hartford Headache Center in East Hartford, has practiced in the MS field for many years. Gretchen, who has spoken at other chapter programs, will share how staying healthy with MS means creatively looking at your health from every angle.

Lynette J. Coleman, Associate Vice President of Programs & Services, is       passionate about educating people on tips, resources and strategies that will help them live as healthy as possible while taking on MS. Lynette has been with the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter for 10 years, and will explain what the chapter does, how we serve our clients as a resource and how you can get involved.
