Congratulations to the 2009 Brain Games Champion and New York’s Smartest Team: Bloomberg
Team Bloomberg took home the traveling MS Cup at the 32nd Annual MS Dinner of Champions featuring the Brain Games, which took place at Gotham Hall on October 19.
The Brain Games is a fundraising gala with a twist. Teams of companies and individuals compete against each other in a trivia competition that mixes general knowledge, fun facts, skill and chance for the distinction of “New York’s Smartest Team.” Team Bloomberg beat 28 teams including third place The Structure Tones, the 2008 winners, and second place Know-It-Alls to win the bragging rights and the coveted traveling MS Cup.
This year, the event honored David Verklin, CEO of Canoe Ventures, LLC, with the Volunteer of the Year Award for his life-long commitment to furthering MS research, events, advocacy and care for individuals living with MS, their friends and family.
To date, the event has raised nearly $320,000 in support of critical national MS research and for the hundreds of annual programs and services the chapter provides people living with MS, their friends and family.
