As Senior Director, Counseling and Clinical Programs, Andrea manages many counseling related programs including: telephone counseling, support groups, peer support, crisis counseling and referrals. Andrea conducts in-services on MS and psychosocial issues. She trains and supervises the chapter's program director of care management and family support services, program coordinator, support group leaders and peers. Debby Bennett, BS |
As Vice President, Community Resource Development and Outreach, Debby identifies the unmet needs and interests of chapter members and community partners. She is the liaison to pharmaceutical companies. Debby is responsible for integrating mission related elements into chapter events and the liaison to the VP of Major Gifts, VP of Communications, and VPs of Development and Corporate Sponsorship and Special Events. Debby oversees professional education and NMSS Next Step, as well as collaborative programming with area chapters. | Anne Davis, ESQ | As volunteer Director, Legal Programs and Services, Anne provides legal information and referrals to chapter members. She provides legal materials and offers information to members on insurance coverage, job and housing discrimination and consumer rights, as well as other legal issues faced by people with MS. As Executive Vice President, Programs, Services and Advocacy, Robin oversees all programs and services provided to more than 10,000 people affected by MS and s all staff in the department. She is responsible for developing and managing and monitoring the department’s operational plan and budget. Robin plans the chapter's annual meeting; She oversees the Clinical Advisory Committee and is the liaison to the chapter affiliated care center directors. She supervises the vice president of community resource development and outreach, program director of counseling and clinical programs, program director of employment, manager of advocacy programs and the executive administrative assistant. Anastatia Fabris, LCSW |
As Director, Care Management and Family Support Services, Anastatia oversees direct financial assistance programs including: case management services, home care, home-delivered meals, crisis counseling, financial assistance, heavy duty house cleaning and respite care services. Anastatia is also responsible for long term care and entitlement referrals and caregiver and couples programs. She trains and supervises the case managers and crisis counselor consultants. As Program Coordinator, Carolyn assists the director of counseling and clinical programs with the management of support groups, counseling referrals, and peer support. Carolyn manages self help groups and networking/educational programs for people with MS in their 20s and 30s. She coordinates educational programs in Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, and Sullivan counties such as: Discovery Day, Newly Diagnosed Workshop, Research Symposium, and Legal Day. Carolyn oversees the chapter’s relationship with the NMSS Information Resource Center, manages programs’ content on the chapter’s website, and trains and certifies staff in NMSS information and referral. As Coordinator, Recreation and Rehabilitation, Carol assists with management of recreational and rehabilitative programs and services. | Christina Iannuzzi | As Executive Administrative Assistant, Christina provides organizational and administrative support to the programs, services and advocacy department. She creates and updates web content and online registration forms for the department. Christina also processes registrations for various programs, provides general information, and distributes new and general member packets of information. Christina is responsible for entering new member information into the database and processing any updates to that information. Christina supervises the Senior Administrative Assistant. | Barbara McKeon, MA, CRC, LMHC | As Director, Employment Programs and Services, Barbara provides vocational counseling to members regarding a variety of employment issues. She answers questions related to reasonable accommodations, disclosure, maintaining employment, returning to work, changing careers, and other employment concerns. Barbara plans several seminars related to MS and employment issues and also oversees the Business Advisory Council, job club, First Connection coordinators for newly diagnosed, education scholarships and member programs committees. | Moyra Rondon, LCSW | As Director, Education and Hispanic Outreach, Moyra is responsible for overseeing the development and management of the annual Research Symposium, educational programs for the Newly Diagnosed, Ask the Chapter, a multi-topic drop in program, and other education programs. She also plans the annual children's program and oversees the MS Awareness Week committee. Moyra serves as the liaison to Care Centers for their education programs. She also represents the chapter at the Stony Brook Pediatric MS satellite Clinic held at Columbia University Medical Center. Melody Soto |
As Senior Administrative Assistant, Melody provides administrative support including assisting in the maintenance of the member database and information and referral database. Melody also manages the department's publication inventory. She assists the Programs department in all aspects of event planning and execution. As Manager, Advocacy Programs, PJ coordinates the chapter's activism efforts including state-wide action alerts, public policy training, and local advocacy activities. PJ represents chapter at the Washington DC and Albany public policy conferences. She is a lobbyist for the chapter as well as liaison to the lobbying firm on behalf of NY MS Coalition Action Network. As Director, Recreation and Rehabilitation Programs and Services, JoEllen oversees various crisis services provided to chapter members, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, home and auto modifications, and medical transportation. JoEllen also manages the recreation, fitness and adapted sports programs in all five boroughs, and professional education programs for rehabilitation professionals.
