How the National MS Society Can Help

  • If you are considering disclosing after you complete this tool, talk through the process with a staff person at the Society. We’ll help you think through accommodations you might need and help you plan your request.
  • The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is a good resource for this as well and they have sample letters to help you in writing your request. (see resources)
  • We can help you educate your boss and HR dept about MS—and develop a plan for disclosure.
  • We can assist you with obtaining evaluations that can help you understand your needs and design accommodations that may help you in your current position.
  • If you did disclose and are having problems with your company we can get answers to legal questions and/or connect you up with legal resources.
