The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Greater New England Chapter is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. The mission is supported by five strategies:
For more than 60 years, the Greater New England Chapter has provided help for today, and hope for tomorrow to nearly 18,000 individuals and families affected by multiple sclerosis in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
During fiscal year 2012 (October 1, 2011 - September 30, 2012), an impressive 85 percent of funds raised by the Chapter were spent on the mission. A bare 15 percent of Chapter resources were spent on fund raising and administrative costs. (See the Chapter's most recently filed IRS Form 990.)
