Adventurer Wendy Booker

Wendy Booker was the first person with MS to conquer six of the Seven Summits. Her mission to reach the top of the highest peak on each continent culminated in a second attempt on Mt. Everest in the spring of 2010.

This inspiring story of overcoming obstacles, living your dreams and triumph in the face of adversity will leave you laughing, crying, and seeking your own mountains!

MS Awareness Week DIY Fundraising Events

Saturday, March 10
5K Run/Walk by Clinton County MS Volunteers. It will take place at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Carlyle, IL. Race day registration is 7am to 8:30am and the race time is 9am. This will be followed by a ½ mile Fun Run and awards ceremony. Registration fee is $20. Monday, March 12
Massage LuXe from 2-6pm located at 1409 S Hanley Brentwood, MO. They will be giving out free eyebrow/lip waxing and/or 10 minute chair massages to anyone who makes a donation of their choice to benefit the MS Society. They hope for MS Society presence and some give-aways for participating customers.

Tuesday, March, 13
Stein Mart Preview Event from 5-8 PM at the new Sunset Hills store, located at 10990 Sunset Hills Plaza in The Plaza at Sunset Hills. As a partnering charity, the National MS Society will be selling $5 tickets. In exchange for the purchase of the ticket, shoppers will receive a ticket/coupon for $5 off their purchase and 20% off two items. In addition, the general public as well as Stein Mart’s Elite and Preferred Customers will also be welcomed to the event and can donate $5 at the door to receive a ticket/coupon for $5 off their purchase as well as 20% off one item.

Wednesday, March 14
Coldstone Creamery donating 15% of sales from 4-8 PM these 4 locations:

MS Ambassadors, or other representatives from the Chapter, will be available at each location as well.

Thursday, March 15
TGI Friday's in Fairview Heights, IL, will donate 15% of your ticket to the National MS Society when you present this flyer or mention the MS Society fundraiser. Friday, March 16
Sips in the City by Alive Magazine from 5pm to 7pm @ Culinaria Wine Bar (9th and Olive Street, Downtown). $5 suggested donation benefits the National MS Society. Donation includes appetizers, courtesy of Culinaria, and 2 drinks, including one premium Belgian beer and one glass of featured wine. RSVP to SipsInTheCity@alivemag.com. 2 hours of free parking is available in the garage above Culinaria after 5pm.
