We can’t do this without you! Walk MS relies on over 300 volunteers to help us raise over $600,000!!
Volunteers come from every walk of life, with many skills and talents. There are many jobs to choose from, preview the list below for more information, or click on the links to download a full position description.
Volunteer Descriptions:
Decorations Volunteer- Assist with the set up of the Walk MS event site to provide a festive and exciting event for volunteers and participants.
In Kind Needs Researcher Volunteer- To research and contact potential in-kind donors for items needed at Walk MS sites.
Lunch Volunteer- Serve food for Walk MS participants and volunteers.
Medical Volunteer- Provide medical attention as needed to injured or exhausted walkers.
Mission Tent Volunteer- Sell merchandise and visit with Walk MS participants as their MS Champion.
Parking Volunteer - Direct arriving participants and volunteers to parking areas
Photographer - Take pictures of Walk MS participants and volunteers, team photos, and action pictures of the day’s events.
Registration/Prize/Greeter Volunteer - Process registrations for the Walk MS, collect money, provide prizes, and answer questions about the Walk MS site, route, and events.
Rest Stop Coordinator - Supervise a team of volunteers that will prepare and serve refreshments to Walk MS participants.
Rest Stop Volunteer- Provide refreshments and information for Walk MS participants as they walk the route.
Route Marker Volunteer - Route Marker Volunteers are assigned the task of placing and removing directional arrows along the entire route. Route Marker Volunteers are also instructed to check for unsafe conditions along the walk route and report anything of potential interest to NMSS staff.
Set-up, Decorations, and Signage Volunteer - Decorate the Walk MS event site and route to provide a festive and exciting event for volunteers and participants.
Site Closing Volunteer - To help pack up supplies from the Walk MS and make sure the site is left clean.
Supply Truck Driver - Distribute the needed supplies and materials to designated areas of the Walk MS route.
Support Vehicle Driver (SAG) - Provide transportation as needed to tired walkers along the Walk Route.
Volunteer Check-In Volunteer- To check in volunteers and direct them to his or her volunteer assignments.
